FAST No Polish Connectors For 250µm & 900µm Buffered Fibres
- The FAST connectors (Field Assembly with Simple Technique) do not require epoxy, heat, or polishing and can be terminated using common fibre stripping and cleave tools. No special tooling is required
- Typically the connectors can be terminated in less than a minute (please see the video clip below)
- FAST connectors are terminated without glue, heat, or power. No mess, no consumables, no wastage
- Available in LC, SC and ST formats with a factory polished stub of OM1 62.5/125µm, OM2 50/125µm, OM3 50/125µm or singlemode fibre
- LC/APC and SC/APC versions are also available in singlemode. These require the same flat cleave and yield a return loss of >50dB. Higher return loss LC/APC and SC/APC connectors are available but these require a special angled cleave tool. Please contact our sales team for details of the connectors and angled cleave tool
- Designed for 250µm primary coated or 900µm secondary buffered fibres. Connectors for 2-3mm patch cable are also available (please see FAST No Polish Connectors For 2-3mm Patch Cable on this website)
- Please note that the connectors require a different cleave length for 250µm (10-11mm) and 900µm (13-14mm) as noted in the instruction leaflet
